| De Kleine tanglibel heeft zijn naam te danken aan de kleine tang aan het uiteinde van het achterlijf (de achterlijfaanhangselen) van het mannetje. Het achterlijf bij zowel man als vrouw is overwegend zwart met gele pionnetjes over de segmenten verdeeld. Bij het mannetje zijn de pionnetjes zichtbaar tot segment 7, bij het vrouwtje tot S10. De Kleine tanglibel houdt van snel stromende rivieren, beken en meren met kiezel of zandbodem. Ze vinden het erg prettig om lekker een tijdje te gaan zonnen op het liefst lichte rotsen/stenen in of langs het water. |
